A knot of black heartwood from the last tree of a grove that died standing, still faintly warm. The old rite of the withering finger asks a creature to die, and the great things of the world have long since stopped listening. This charm asks nothing. It simply pours the grove's own long rot into the target, and what would have been a refused summons to death becomes a wound of negative energy that flesh and undeath alike must answer for. Worn at the neck. Its power sleeps for any who is not a Druid.
